TO support tourism development, the Mandalay Region government sponsored the opening ceremony of the Hotel Service Training Course at the Shwe Nan Htaik Hotel in PyinOoLwin yesterday afternoon.
Mandalay Region Minister for Economic Affairs U Thein Htay first delivered the opening address. This was followed by U Zaw Myo Latt, Director of the Mandalay Region Directorate of Hotels and Tourism, who provided details about the training course. A trainer then gave a brief explanation of the training programme.
The course will train a total of 81 participants, including 39 trainees in the Food and Beverage Catering Course and 42 trainees in the Bedroom Maintenance Course, with sessions held for five hours per day.
The ceremony was attended by Mandalay Region Minister for Economic Affairs U Thein Htay, Director of the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism U Zaw Myo Latt, staff and officials from relevant departments and hotel and tourism associations, trainees, and invitees. — Oattha/MKKS
