Illegal drugs supposed to be heroin was seized from a man riding a bicycle in the town of Shwebo, Shwebo district, Sagaing region yesterday, according to Police inspector Zaw Myint, head of Shwebo district anti-crime squad.
Upon information received, local police together with witnesses stopped a man riding a bicycle in downtown Shwebo on suspicion of carrying illegal drugs and conducted a police search on him. The police seized three small bottles with a total of 0.15 g of heroin.
Local police pressed drug charges against Hein Htet (a) Nga Gu with unlawful possession of illegal drugs.—Chit San ( Khin-U)
