THE Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Tra­ditional Myanmar Lethwei Federation will supervise the IMAKi Pride Glory Honour Lethwei Tournament, which will be organized by JNCS Company Limited. The com­petition is scheduled to take place at 1 pm on 28 September at Theinbyu Boxing Gymna­sium in Mingala Taungnyunt Township, Yangon.

 

In connection with the tournament, a press confer­ence was held yesterday at 2 pm at the Shwe Htut Tin Ground on East Horse Race Course Street in Tamway Township. At the press event, Dr Tin Aung Lwin, President of the Traditional Myanmar Lethwei Federation, delivered the opening speech. Deputy vice-president U Wunna and U Kyaw Win Tun elaborated on the significance of organizing the event, while an official from JNCS Company Limited ex­plained the purpose of hosting the tournament.

 

The main attraction of the competition will feature Ramahn against Aung Khine and Htun Min Naing against Saw Htoo Aung. Extra bouts will showcase pairings such as Saw Ba Hein versus Saw Min Naing, Ye Lin Oo versus Si Toe, Saling Htan Khwe Shane ver­sus Shan Tauk, Htet Lin versus Kyaw Naing Htun, Africa ver­sus Aung Hein Swan, Gaw Pa Ka versus Lakapaw, and Kyaw Wai Yan versus Kyauk Yine. In the women’s division, Lynn Sandar Htay will face Mar Lar Win. — Linn Yama/KZL
