THE Myanmar Red Cross Society (MRCS) Resource Mobilization and Utilization Department, in collaboration with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), opened the Marketing Management Training for Commercial First Aid course at the Chatrium Hotel in Yangon from 28 October to 30 October.

The course was opened to ensure that Commercial First Aid (CFA) activities are carried out systematically in accordance with the CFA Guidelines, to provide participants with an understanding of the fundamental concepts of marketing and to facilitate the implementation of income-generating activities.

It is known that the opening ceremony featured welcome addresses by the President of the Myanmar Red Cross Society, Professor Dr Myo Nyunt, the National Society Development Delegate for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Ms Laura Martinez, and the Corporation Specialist from the International Committee of the Red Cross, Daw Aye Thanda Tun.

A total of 28 Red Cross volunteers, who are the marketing focal points from Kachin State, Kayin State, Mon State, Yangon Region, Mandalay Region, and Ayeyawady Region, attended the training course. — ASH/ KNN
