THE first coordination meeting of the Leading Committee on Organizing the 26th Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competitions 2025 at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday, with an address by Patron of the Leading Committee, Prime Minister U Nyo Saw.
In his speech, the Prime Minister said that the 26th Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition 2025 will be held with dignity in line with the fine traditions of the event.
At present, he continued that the country’s new generation of youths, who are valuable human resources, are being nurtured to become good citizens capable of building a prosperous future nation and safeguarding and preserving the State in all aspects.
The Prime Minister expressed his belief that experienced judge maestros, in their respective fields of expertise, will be able to make fair and accurate evaluations in accordance with the rules and regulations, while impartially identifying and promoting talented youths from various regions and states.
He noted that a nation’s traditions, customs, and cultural heritage serve as the foundations that instil patriotic spirit and love for the nation. Therefore, efforts are being made to foster a new generation of youths who are not only intellectually capable but also culturally refined.
In this regard, he underlined that organizing the singing, dancing, song composition, and music contests not only contributes to the development of Myanmar arts but also allows the world to witness the distinctive and profound essence of Myanmar culture.
The Prime Minister highlighted that, through proper organization, dedicated efforts, and effective management, the 26th Performing Arts Competition is expected to become a successful event that highlights and reflects the national cultural identity of the Myanmar people.
Secretary of the Leading Committee Deputy Minister Daw Nu Mra Zan reported on the formation of the leading committee, work committee and subcommittees and their functions.
Union ministers, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, regional and state ministers and officials from subcommittees discussed preparations to successfully hold the performing arts competition.
