Health workers are providing healthcare services to residents in Kyaukme and nearby villages, including disease prevention, maternal and child care, school health programmes, and catch-up vaccinations under the SIA for children under 15.

 

THE Kyaukme District Gen­eral Hospital in Shan State (North) reopened yesterday to offer healthcare services to locals.

 

The Department of Medical Ser­vices in Kyaukme District established a temporary hospital in the Labha Muni Chinese temple in Kyaukme Township starting from 5 October, and provided healthcare services to 3,385 patients between 5 October and 1 November.

 

Similarly, the Naungpeing station hospital in Kyaukme township was also reopened on 20 October, offering med­ical treatments to residents.

 

The Ministry of Health makes ef­forts to ensure the coverage of public healthcare services, and township Pub­lic Health Department and six Rural Health Centres resumed their opera­tions in Kyaukme Township, aiming to support the primary health services.

 

Health workers are providing healthcare services to locals in Kyaukme and nearby villages. Their activities in­clude disease prevention and control, maternal and child healthcare, school health programmes, and vaccination campaigns, catch-up vaccination un­der the Special Immunization Activities (SIA) for children under the age of 15.
