The Myanmar Agricultural Development Bank (Branch) in Thongwa Township, Thanlyin District, Yangon Region, began disbursing loans for monsoon paddy cultivation for the 2025-2026 FY. at 10:00 a.m. today.
Before the disbursement, U Win Hlaing, Manager of the Thongwa Township branch of the Myanmar Agricultural Development Bank, outlined the purpose of the loan distribution, the terms and conditions, and the interest rate period.
A total of 383 farmers from Shan Su Village, who had repaid their previous farming loans on time, received loans totaling K 333.1 million, covering 2,221 acres of farmland.
For the 2025-2026 fiscal year, the Myanmar Agricultural Development Bank in Thongwa Township has allocated K 150,000 per acre for a total of 2,221 acres. The bank plans to extend loans of K 150,000 per acre to 8,200 farmers, covering a total of 53,200 acres of land.—Sithu Linn (IPRD)
