In an effort to boost income generation and improve the socio-economic status of rural communities, loans under the Emerald Green Project were disbursed to farmers at the Damayone in Kuayee Village, Pyu Township, Bago Region, this morning. This marks the ninth round of loan disbursement in the village.
As part of the initiative, a total of 97 farmers received loans amounting to Ks 40.65 million—36 farmers engaged in agriculture and 61 involved in livestock breeding.
At the event, U Kyaw Myo Aung, Staff Officer of the Township Department of Rural Development, outlined the objectives of the project and explained the rules and regulations to be followed by members of the Village Emerald Green Project Committee.— Nay Myo Lwin (IPRD)
