Nyaung-U, 10 October

With the aim of boosting the income of rural people and their socio-economic status, loans for emerald green project were dispensed to members of village emerald green project committee in Shinmin Village in Nyaung-U Township of Mandalay Region on October 10. The disbursement of loans is the first of its kind in the village.

On the occasion, an official from the Township Department of Rural Development clarified the purposes of the project and explained rules and regulations of the project to be abided by members of village emerald green project committee.

Under this loans disbursement program, a total of 59 people – 48 people in agricultural business, seven in livestock breeding business and four in trading business received K 29.7 million loans of the project.—Ye Win Naing(Nyaung-U)
