OVER the next seven days, there is a possibility of a low-pressure area forming in the South China Sea, said meteorologist U Win Naing.
From 19 August to next week, low pressure area will form and it will transform at least into a tropical storm-TS, he said on his Facebook page on 19 August.
Following becoming a storm in the South China Sea, a low-pressure area will form over the Bay of Bengal according to the A-B-C relation, and ECMWF and ICON Model have also shown a forecast of becoming a storm, he said.
Until the monsoon leaves or the end of post-monsoon on 10 October, rain will continue, and just the rate of rainfall will differ. Under predictions, rainfall will be high in eastern Myanmar, Shan State.
In the dry zone- lower Sagaing Region, Magway Region and Mandalay Region, moderate rain is forecast in 24 hours from 0.5 inch to 1.5 inches, said U Win Naing. — MT/ZS
