MYANMAR Agro Exchange Pub­lic Company Limited (MAEX) plans to open the Wholesale Market in Kalaw Township, Shan State (South), by the end of this year, according to the official from MAEX.

 

Efforts are being made to build a complex of the Wholesale Market in Kalaw Township as a focal point of collecting, storing and selling agricultural prod­ucts of farmers from Kalaw and Pindaya districts in Shan State (South) to link with Danyingon Wholesale Market in Yangon.

 

An official from MAEX un­veiled: “We have a plan to es­tablish the Wholesale Market in Shan State (South). In this regard, I’d like to disseminate information about the wholesale market to wholesalers and retail­ers wishing to put their invest­ment in the market to do busi­nesses in Shan State (South). Like Yangon’s Danyingon Whole­sale Market, we aim to open the wholesale market in Kalaw of Shan State (South) at the end of this year”.

 

The Wholesale Market in Shan State (South) will provide a service that connects agricultur­al products produced by farmers in Shan State to the Danyingon Wholesale Market in Yangon, enabling direct linkage between producers and buyers. — ASH/ TTA
