INWA has been under rehabilitation and in the meantime, masons and carpenters have enjoyed the growth in career opportunities.

The city was severely damaged by Mandalay earthquake which hit in March and now reconstruction works have been carried out, resulting in many job creations for masons and carpenters, said residents.

“Now this is monsoon and people have started repairing their quake-affected houses, that helping the grassroots especially those who earn their living on masonry and carpentry,” said a resident.

In Inwa, the restoration works have been in progress and at the same time, residents resumed their livelihood to sustain their living as well as farmers returned to work. The electricity is also restored now, he added.
