Indaw, 24 January
Men’s invitational badminton tournament was held in Indaw Township, Sagaing Region on 23 January.
The sports event was jointly organized by the township badminton subcommittee and the Sports and Physical Education Department under the Ministry of Health and Sports. Athletes from Indaw, Katha and Kawlin Townships took part in the contest and local authorities presented awards to prize winners.
The purpose of the competition is to produce new generation badminton players in the township, said U Thein Tan, Chairman of the township management committee.—Lu Aung
