UNION Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr Wah Wah Maung received Mrs Aya Saad Mohamed Abdelkarim, Ambassador of Egypt to Myanmar, yesterday at Office 1 of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations in Nay Pyi Taw.
They cordially exchanged views on matters related to bilateral economic cooperation, signing “Memorandum of Understanding on the General Trade and Business Cooperation” that aims to strengthen trade and investment sectors between the two countries, the Myanmar-Egypt Online Investment Forum, the participation of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Egyptian businesspeople in this forum, investment and technology transfer in agro-based industries, cotton and textile processing, pharmaceutical products and renewable energy production sector.
The meeting was attended by the director-general of the Foreign Economic Relations Department, senior officials from the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations and representatives from the embassy. — MIFER
