THE Ministry of Energy, in line with its slogan of delivering the nation’s resources directly to the public, has been distributing domestically refined Ron 68 petrol directly to consumers since January this year, after previously selling it to the private sector through a tender system.
In addition, Ron 72 and Ron 77 petrol are also being produced and distributed based on crude oil and natural gas availability. Currently, as crude oil prices have declined, the Ministry of Energy has announced that, starting today, various types of domestically produced petrol will be sold at prices reduced by up to K200 per litre compared with previous rates.
Furthermore, the Ministry continues to strive to independently produce and distribute higher-grade Ron petrol domestically. — MNA/MKKS
