UNION Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun inspected the 500kV Sapakywe (Toungoo) substation construction site in Toungoo Township of Bago Region yesterday.
The Union minister heard the reports presented by the relevant officials regarding 500KV Kankaung (Meiktila) substation and 500KV Sapakywe (Toungoo) substation, and he made instructions to make quick repairs on the Shunt Reactor Bushing that was destroyed by the Mandalay earthquake, ensure the occupational safety, security and timely completion.
He also inspected the control building and installation of transformers, Shunt Reactor and Hybrid Gas Insulated Switchgear (HGIS) in Switch Yard.
The 500 kV Sapakywe (Toungoo) substation project has completed 81.07 per cent, and efforts are being made to complete the whole project as quickly as possible. — MNA/ KTZH
