UNION Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe received Mr Abhay Thakur, Ambassa­dor of India, at the Pan Wah Guest House in Yangon yes­terday.

They discussed matters on the promotion of bilateral cooperation in various sectors between Myanmar and India, including boundary-related matters, bilateral trade and India’s assistance to Myanmar for post-earthquake recovery.

Also, present at the meet­ing were senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar and representa­tives of the Indian Embassy. — MNA
