U Than Swe, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, received Mr Mongkol Visitstump, Ambas­sador of Thailand to Myanmar, yesterday at the Ministry of For­eign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.

At the meeting, both sides cordially exchanged views on matters of the further enhance­ment of the existing friendly relations and bilateral partner­ship, and expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation, especially in the areas of trade and invest­ment and facilitation of border trade between the two countries. Also present at the meeting were senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. — MNA
