UNION Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn yesterday afternoon inspected the ongo­ing preparations for the 2024 National Award for Lifetime Achievement, National Liter­ary Award, and Sarpay Beikman Manuscript Award Ceremony at the Myanmar International Convention Centre I (MICC I) in Nay Pyi Taw. He ensured the event could be held successfully and coordinated the necessary arrangements.

 

The Union minister first observed the preparation of exhibition booths arranged by Myanmar Radio and Television, the Information and Public Re­lations Department, and the Printing and Publishing De­partment under the Ministry of Information. He listened to briefings by responsible officials and instructed them to make any additional arrangements where necessary.

 

He then viewed the re­hearsal for the award ceremony, encouraged the participating officials, and provided the nec­essary guidance. The Union minister also cordially met with the staff members who will take part in the event.

 

The ceremony for the 2024 National Literary Award for Lifetime Achievement, Nation­al Literary Award, and Sarpay Beikman Manuscript Award will be held on 20 November 2025. A total of five National Literary Awards for Lifetime Achieve­ment, 16 National Literary Awards, and 30 Sarpay Beik­man Manuscript Awards will be presented at the ceremony. Myanmar Radio and Television will broadcast the ceremony live. — MNA/KZL
