THE Kathina robe donation ceremony of the Ministry of National Planning was organ­ized at Masoeyein Monastery in Pyinmana township yes­terday morning, and Prime Minister and Union Minister U Nyo Saw and his wife Daw San San Aye, the deputy min­ister, officials concerned, and families attended the cere­mony.

The Prime Minister and party first received the Five Precepts from Masoeyein Monastery Sayadaw Bhadd­anta Revata and listened to the sermons delivered by Sayadaws and monks. Then the Prime Minister and his wife donated robes and offer­ings to Masoeyein Monastery Sayadaw and Aung Mingalar Monastery Sayadaw.

The attendees also do­nated robes and offerings to Sayadaws and monks.

The Prime Minister and party shared the merit gained and offered day meals to Sayadaws. — MNA/KTZH
