THE Ministry of Transport and Communications organized the 2025 Monsoon Fingerling-Releasing Ceremony yesterday at the Ngalaikyaba diversion weir, west of Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee office, Nay Pyi Taw.
The ceremony was attended by State Administration Council Member, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo and his wife, deputy ministers and their wives, the permanent secretary, departmental officials, and staff.
During the event, the DPM Union minister and his wife, along with officials and staff, released fingerlings into the diversion weir.
A total of 11,000 fingerlings of rohu and silver barb were released into the diversion weir for ensuring food security, conserving water resources and preventing the depletion of fish species. — MNA/KZL
