THE Ministry of Transport and Communications organized the 2025 Monsoon Fingerling-Re­leasing Ceremony yesterday at the Ngalaikyaba diversion weir, west of Nay Pyi Taw De­velopment Committee office, Nay Pyi Taw.

 

The ceremony was attend­ed by State Administration Council Member, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communica­tions General Mya Tun Oo and his wife, deputy ministers and their wives, the permanent sec­retary, departmental officials, and staff.

 

During the event, the DPM Union minister and his wife, along with officials and staff, released fingerlings into the diversion weir.

 

A total of 11,000 fingerlings of rohu and silver barb were released into the diversion weir for ensuring food security, con­serving water resources and preventing the depletion of fish species. — MNA/KZL
