THE Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF) aims to meet rice export of 1.8 million tonnes during the second half of the current financial year 2025-2026, with 300,000 tonnes of rice per month.
Myanmar’s rice export exceeded 1.2 million in the first half (April-August) this FY, bagging US$408 million. Myanmar mainly exported rice to China with 346,919 tonnes of rice and 247,985 non-premium rice, followed by the Philippines and Spain.
Myanmar conveyed 2.48 million tonnes of rice export in the FY 2024-2025, with an estimated value of over 1.12 billion. — ASH/ KK
