MSME entrepreneurs urged to constantly work for economic growth of the State

Members of the State Admin­istration Council toured eth­nic areas to boost businesses through the manufacturing of value-added products based on agriculture and livestock raw materials.

 

Putao in Kachin State

SAC members Daw Dwe Bu on 19 September inspected the preparation to build a hydro­power plant using water from Namthwam Creek in Putao. While in Putao, she met with departmental officials and town elders at Phonkanrazi Hall. She then presented cash assistance for ethnic literature and culture committees and charity associ­ations.

 

She also held talks with re­ligious leaders from Christian churches at the hall of the Dis­trict General Administration Department in the afternoon. SAC member donated 13 bags of rice, six 10-viss jerry cans of cooking oil and K1.3 million to 13 Christian churches and attended to their needs.

 

She attended the final match of the inter-club men’s football tournament held for drug eradication in Putao District at the district sports ground and presented the championship trophy and cash awards to the first prize-winning club. Yes­terday morning, she visited the agriculture and livestock farm (Namtale) and Rawam National Museum in Rawam Manaw Park in Putao and the Government Technical Institute (Putao) and presented cash assistance to the Rawam Literature and Culture Committee.

 

Loikaw in Kayah State

Operating MSME business­es based on agriculture and live­stock farms can contribute to the economic development of the country, said SAC member Porel Aung Thein at the meeting with MSME businesspersons in Loikaw yesterday morning.

 

Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin said that the state government will cooper­ate with MSME businesses to achieve success for the devel­opment of the state through up­grading domestic products based on the One Region-One Product scheme.

 

The SAC member viewed round SME products, forest products, cooperative products, fishery products, goods produced by border region ethnic voca­tional training school, industrial products and weaving products displayed by relevant depart­ments at the hall. — MNA/TTA
