DEPUTY Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Than Soe received Mr Justin Brady, Head of Office of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) in Myanmar, yesterday at the Ministry’s meeting hall in Nay Pyi Taw.
They exchanged views on the Ministry’s social protection, disaster management, and rehabilitation activities. Discussions also covered the long-standing cooperation between the Ministry and UNOCHA, the country’s reconstruction efforts following the damage caused by the Mandalay earthquake, and issues concerning continued cooperation in humanitarian assistance.
