UNION Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettle­ment Dr Soe Win inspected the implementation of the Kalaw Creek embankment project, the site where a suspension bridge will be constructed, the ongo­ing renovation works at Kalaw Railway Station, and the sand dredging activities along Kal­aw Creek in Kalaw Township yesterday.

During the inspection tour, the Union minister instructed to carry out the cleanliness activ­ities and preventive measures against floods, and urged the public to participate in these activities. He also inspected the completion of prefabricat­ed schools donated by ASEAN through the AHA Centre at the No 8 BEPS in Aungban Town­ship, and the peaceful learning sessions of the students.

The Union minister and party oversaw the construction of a temporary school building at the BEHS Branch (Kay Lar) in Nyaungshwe Township, and renovation works at Inlay PhaungdawU Pagoda and do­nated cash. — MNA/KTZH
