SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing holds talks with Prime Ministers bound for attending summits in Kunming.

 

CHAIRMAN of the State Admin­istration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing yesterday held meetings with Prime Ministers who will attend the summits, including the Eighth Greater Mekong Subregion Economic Cooperation Pro­gram (GMS) Summit to be held in Kun­ming of the People’s Republic of China.

 

At the separate meetings yester­day morning, the Senior General met Cambodian Prime Minister Mr Hun Manet and party at the Green Lake Hotel and Prime Minister of Laos Mr Sonexay Siphandone and party at the HUALUXE Kunming Hotel.

 

They cordially exchanged views on the enhancement of friendly relations and cooperation between Myanmar and Cambodia and Myanmar and Laos, po­litical progress in Myanmar and current actual situations, preparations to hold a free and fair multiparty democratic general election, the best cooperation of Myanmar in ASEAN, participation of Myanmar in ASEAN meetings, needs to resolve the situations of Myanmar peacefully, plans of Cambodia and Laos to provide aid to Myanmar as much as they can, measures on friendly ties, diplomatic relations, and exchange of goodwill visits among Myanmar, Cam­bodia and Laos, enhancement of trade, investment, tourism, social and cultural sectors between the two countries, and promotion of cooperation in other sectors.

 

After the meetings, the Senior Gen­eral cordially greeted Prime Ministers from Cambodia and Laos and those attendees. — MNA/TTA
