A panel discussion titled “Respecting and Complying with Anti-Corruption Provisions in Public Procurement Processes” was held yesterday afternoon via videoconference at Meeting Hall 2 of the Anti-Corruption Commission Office. The event took place under the 2024-2026 cooperation programme between the Anti-Corruption Commission of Myanmar and the Office of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation.

The Commission Office’s Permanent Secretary, U Htein Lin, along with the deputy director-general, directors and other officials, attended the discussion. Representatives from the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office and the Anti-Corruption Commission delivered the opening remarks.

Officials from the Russian Prosecutor-General’s Office presented discussions on several topics, including “Anti-Corruption Programmes and the Participation of Prosecutors in International Events (Meetings, Workshops, Forums),” “Prosecutorial Oversight of Compliance with Anti-Corruption Laws in Public Procurement Processes,” and “The Use of Modern Technologies in the Activities of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation”.

Subsequently, officials from the Anti-Corruption Commission addressed subjects such as “Taking Action in Accordance with the Anti-Corruption Law against Corruption Cases Arising in Public Procurement Processes” and “Participation in International Anti-Corruption Activities and Events (Meetings, Workshops, Forums)”.
