MYANMAR athletes won further medals in athletics and judo events at the XXXIII SEA Games in Thailand on 14 December.
In athletics, the Myanmar walking race team secured two silver medals. In the men’s event, Naing Lin Tun won the silver, while Zin May Htet took silver in the women’s event. In the men’s event, Indonesia claimed the gold, Myanmar’s Naing Lin Tun took silver, and Vietnam won bronze. In the women’s event, Indonesia won gold, Zin May Htet of Myanmar won silver, and Thailand took bronze. The events were held in the afternoon of 14 December.
On the final day of the judo competition, the Myanmar judo team added another medal. In the mixed team event, Myanmar was narrowly defeated by the Philippines in the semifinals, earning the bronze medal, while the Philippines took gold and Thailand won silver.
