Myanmar beat Kyrgyzstan 1-0 in U-17 Asian Cup Qualifiers

The first day of the 2024 AFC U-17 Women’s Qualifiers Group F began on the night of 24 April in Kyrgyzstan, and team Myanmar defeated host Kyrgyzstan 1-0.

 

The Myanmar team won with a single goal scored at the beginning of the game, and it was a good situation to qualify for the second round.

 

The Myanmar girl squad started the opening match against the host team and struggled a bit, but they took the lead at the start of the match and were able to control the whole game and bag three points.

 

Team Myanmar lined up with goalie Thuzar Aung, Yamin Phyu, Yu Yu Naing, Min Min Nu, Honey Moe Lwin, Kay Thwe Phyo Oo, Nyein Nyein Phyo, Yuya Naing, Khin Bhone, Thel Ei Hlaing, and Zakar Rosy.

 

From the start of the game, both teams began attacking and in the fourth minute, Yuya Naing scored the first or winning goal for the Myanmar team.

 

Near the end of the match, Myanmar had a chance to take a penalty kick, but the Kyrgyz goalkeeper was able to save Kay Thwe Phyo Oo’s kick.

 

Team Myanmar is placed in Group F with India and host Kyrgyzstan. Myanmar will play against India on 28 April as the last match for Group F. – Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
