Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myan­mar, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Sen­ior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is currently in China on his working visit, met officials led by Vice-President of the Wuhan University Prof Gong Wei of the People’s Republic of China at Tangla Hotel in Tianjin at 2.30 pm Chinese standard time yesterday.

The meeting focused on measures on satellite technol­ogy, assistance of the Wuhan University to turn out techno­logically qualified human re­sources for Myanmar, the his­tory of the university, learing of students from international countries at the university, and technological cooperation be­tween the two countries.

After the meeting, the Vice-President of the Wuhan University presented commem­orative gifts to the Senior Gen­eral and they all had documen­tary photos taken.

Also, present at the meet­ing were Commission Secre­tary and Joint Executive Chief General Ye Win Oo, Commis­sion members, the Myanmar Ambassador to China and sen­ior Tatmadaw officers. — MNA/ TTA
