MYANMAR deported 37 Indians and 20 Indonesians, totalling 57 individuals, involved in telecom fraud and other criminal activi­ties in Kayin State via the Myan­mar-Thailand Friendship Bridge II yesterday.

 

Myanmar authorities offi­cially handed the deportees the necessary legal documents to ensure their smooth repatria­tion.

 

Between 30 January and 26 August 2025, a total of 9,369 ille­gal immigrants were identified and detained in Myanmar. Of this number, 9,262 individuals have already been deported through Thailand to their respective countries, while arrangements are being made to deport the remaining 107 individuals. These individuals are currently under detention while awaiting repa­triation.

 

The government is strictly cracking down on online scams and online gambling by cooper­ating with other countries, in­cluding neighbouring countries. — MNA/KTZH
