Myanmar face Barcelona in U-12 Junior Soccer World Challenge

The Myanmar national U-12 team, which will compete in the U-12 Junior Soccer World Chal­lenge 2023 to be held in Chiba, Japan from 24 to 27 August is meeting with Barcelona Junior FC.

 

Along with the Barcelona Junior team, the Myanmar youth team is in the same group as the Daiwa House Dream youth team and the JEF United Chiba U-12 youth team in Group C.

 

Myanmar Football Federa­tion selected 25 shortlisted play­ers from 40 preliminary players on 26 July to compete in the U-12 Junior Soccer World Challenge 2023 tournament. They have been taking training in the camp at the Thuwunna Stadium elite dormitory.

 

The 25 shortlisted players played friendly matches as well as training for the international tourney. In the second week of August, the best 18 of 25 play­ers will be reselected and sent to Japan. They will compete in the U-12 Junior Soccer World Challenge 2023 tournament to be held in Chiba.

 

Head Coach U Aung Kyaw Zan is overseeing the Myanmar youth team ahead of the tour­ney. The Myanmar U-12 team’s trip to Japan will be sponsored by AYA Bank, as stated by the MFF. — KZL
