THE final matchday of the 2025 ASEAN U23 Championship group stage will continue today, 22 July, with the Myanmar team set to face the powerhouse Thai team.
The final matches of Groups B and C will be played simultaneously at 7:30 am Myanmar Standard Time on 22 July. In Jakarta, Vietnam will take on Cambodia at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, while Myanmar will play Thailand at the Patriot Chandrabhaga Stadium in Bekasi.
In Group B, Vietnam has earned three points from one match, Cambodia has one point from one match, and Laos has one point from two matches. In Group C, Thailand has three points from one match, Myanmar has one point from one match, and Timor-Leste has one point from two matches. Since Myanmar drew with Timor-Leste in their opening match, they must win against Thailand to advance to the next round.
In the match against Timor-Leste, Myanmar repeatedly took the lead but ended in a 4-4 draw. Thailand, on the other hand, defeated Timor-Leste with a decisive 4-0 victory.
