Heilongjiang Province and Myanmar eye the promotion of cooperation in the education, culture, trade and other sectors.

 

ACTING President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is currently in the People’s Re­public of China during his work­ing visit, held talks with Mr Xu Qin, Secretary of the Communist Party of China’s Heilongjiang Provincial Committee at 6 pm Chinese standard time yester­day.

 

Also present at the talks were Commission Secretary and Joint Executive Chief General Ye Win Oo, Commission members, Union Ministers, and the Myan­mar Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China. The Secre­tary of the Communist Party of China’s Heilongjiang Provincial Committee was accompanied by cabinet members of Heilongjiang Province, Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Ms Ma Jia and of­ficials.

 

They discussed the suc­cessful holding of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit 2025 and the parade to mark the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Jap­anese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, diplomatic re­lations between Myanmar and China over 75 years, and forging Pauk-Phaw friendly relations.

 

They exchanged views on success in agriculture and live­stock industries in Heilongjiang Province, the establishment of advanced universities and col­leges, the learning of Myanmar scholarship students at these in­stitutions, export of Myanmar’s crops to Heilongjiang Province, exchange of technologies in ag­riculture and livestock sectors, promotion of cooperation in ed­ucation and culture sectors, and sectoral cooperation and trade activities between Heilongjiang Province and Myanmar. — MNA/ TTA
