ACCORDING to Daw Moh Moh Aung, Chairperson of the Myanmar Real Estate Services Association (Central), Myanmar will host the Asia Pacific Convention in 2026.

In August, Daw Moh Moh Aung and members of the association attended the Asia Pacific Convention held in Singapore, where a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed for Myanmar to serve as the host country for the 2026 convention.

The upcoming 2026 Asia Pacific Convention in Myanmar is expected to be attended by representatives from ASEAN member countries, the United States, China, Nepal, Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR.

The Myanmar Real Estate Services Association (Central) is currently working to gain membership in the World Real Estate Federation. Once membership is granted, Myanmar will have access to global technology, technical knowledge, and modern systems.

At present, the association is striving to establish a new Real Estate Services Law before 2028. Daw Moh Moh Aung explained that the draft law has been prepared in collaboration with other real estate associations, experts, professionals, and legal advisers, and has been submitted to the government for approval.

When enacted, the new law will allow real estate service providers to obtain operating licences, ensuring that all activities follow nationally approved regulations and standards.

The 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the General Assembly of Members of the Myanmar Real Estate Services Association (Central) were held on 7 October at the Novotel Max Hotel in Kamayut Township, Yangon.
