MYANMAR’S Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) entrepreneurs will offer MSME products at about 30 booths at the Mahar New Shopping Centre in Maha Chai, Thailand, U Hein Htike Aung, a trading company owner, said.
“We are running a trading company of agricultural produce. Furthermore, it took three to six months for us to make efforts to trade MSME products. We are planning to sell our MSME product at Mahar Nwe Shopping Centre in Thailand. Currently, approximately 20 businesspeople are planning to open over 30 shops at the centre. I think our MSMEs will start running business in October at the centre,” he elaborated.
MSME entrepreneurs plan to produce a range of MSME products, including clothing, footwear, lacquerware, and ready-made food items, such as Mont Hin Khar and fried fish paste. They are seeking registration from the Thailand Food and Drug Administration.
Myanmar’s MSMEs participated in exhibitions held in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. Myanmar’s MSMEs are endeavouring to explore new markets for local MSME products in Maha Chai.
The Mahar Nwe Shopping Centre is one of the main shopping centres for Myanmar migrant workers. This is a Myanmar shopping complex featuring shops that sell mobile phones, computers, watches, clothes, personal goods, and recruitment agencies’ offices, as well as schools and restaurants. — ASH/KK
