UNION Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung received Pakistan’s Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Tariq Karim yesterday at the Union Minister’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the meeting, both sides held open and constructive discussions on enhancing bilateral cooperation in agriculture and livestock trade, production of hybrid cotton seeds for producing high-quality cotton varieties that are resistant to pests and climate change, production of new cotton varieties using biotechnology, development of dairy buffalo farming, and cooperation in research and development, including technologies for meat product production and marketing.
The permanent secretary, directors-general, and responsible officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation were present at the meeting. — MNA/MKKS
