UNION Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than received Russian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Iskander Azizov in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Both sides cordially discussed and exchanged views on the implementation of the No 2 Steel Mill (Pinpet) project, inspection and repair works of Russian experts for the test run of air purification plant, technical support of National University of Science and Technology (MiSiS) for producing pig iron with remelt method, signing of agreement for execution of the project by TPE Company Limited, coordination with TPE Company Limited to carry out the project effectively and other effective work plans for the No 2 Steel Mill (Pinpet) project as it is a vital project for Russia and Myanmar.
Also, present at the meeting were relevant officials from the ministry and the Russian Embassy. — MNA/KTZH
