THE XXXIII South-East Asian Games, held in Thailand from 9 to 20 December 2025, are on­going, and Myanmar’s nation­al teams have so far secured two gold medals, three silver medals, and one bronze across various sports.

 

A total of 38 team mem­bers, including national ath­letes, managers, and coach­es, returned to Yangon by air yesterday evening. They were welcomed at Yangon In­ternational Airport by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, regional ministers, of­ficials from the Department of Sports and Physical Educa­tion, students from the Insti­tute of Sports and Physical Ed­ucation (Yangon), presidents and officials from Myanmar sports federations, students, parents, and members of the public.
