THE preliminary Myanmar national Teqball team, which will compete in the Teqball event of the XXXIII Southeast Asian Games, departed for Bangkok, Thailand, yesterday evening to conduct joint training with the Thai national Teqball team as part of its preparations.
The team is led by Dr Htet Khine Win, President of the Myanmar Teqball Federation, along with officials, coaching staff, and 12 preliminary squad players.
The squad will train in Bangkok from 11 to 30 September and play friendly matches against the Thai national Teqball team, which ranks among the world’s top sides.
The Myanmar Teqball Federation, established on 23 May 2025, will make its SEA Games debut at the upcoming competition. Despite being a newly formed federation, the team is said to be preparing strongly. After the joint training trip, the squad will also compete in the International Teqball Tournament organized by the International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) in Bangkok from 17 to 19 October. — Arkar Linn/KZL
