With the aims of strengthening Thai-Myanmar friendship, enhancing relations between students of the two nations, solving problems together and boosting tourism industries of the two countries, a ceremony to open the 20th Myanmar-Thai Friendship bicycle rally was held at Myanmar-Thai Friendship Bridge-1 in Myawady this morning.
Officials from government departments in Myawady and authorities from Thailand, members of Chambers of Commerce in Myawady District and Tak province opened the ceremony.
A total of 2,000 participants including 1,500 Thai students and nationals and 500 Myanmar students and nationals took part in the rally. The rally started from Myanmar-Thai Friendship Bridge-1 and finished to Myanmar-Thai Friendship Bridge-2.
