A delegation led by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand Mr Sihasak Phuangketkeow called on Prime Minister U Nyo Saw at the Office No 18 of the Union Government Office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
They cordially exchanged views on further enhancement of friendship and diplomatic relations between the two countries, stability of border region between the two countries, promotion of bilateral trade, economic cooperation and environmental conservation, implementation of the peace process in Myanmar, placing emphasis on successful holding of a free and fair multiparty democratic general election under the law, and leveraging up positive cooperation in the regional and international landscapes.
Also, present at the meeting were Union Minister for Commerce U Chit Swe, deputy ministers and officials. The Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs was accompanied by the Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar and delegation members. — MNA/TTA
