ACCORDING to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Myanmar’s traditional wedding attire was showcased at the “Sartorial Splendour – National Costume Exhibition”, part of the Asian Ethnic Cultural Performances held at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Foyer from 10 to 17 November.
U Han Win Naing, Myanmar Consul-General in Hong Kong, attended the ceremony. The Ladies’ Heart Fashion Office provided the traditional wedding dress, and the Myanmar Consulate-General coordinated the event with assistance from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture.
A total of 23 countries and regions from Asia and the Belt and Road Initiative, including Hong Kong, Macau, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Vietnam, took part in the Asian Ethnic Cultural Performances programme of the Asia+ Festival, which is held across September and November in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. — ASH/MKKS
