Myanmar's Yar Man beat Thailand’s Olan in 1st round

Myanmar Lethwei fighter Yar Man defeated Muay Thai fighter Olan in the first round of the main bout of TGL 4: The Great Lethwei Event held at Theinbyu Gymnasium in Yangon yesterday.

 

The two men fought under the super middle weight category (75-79 kg).

 

In the early minutes of the first round, Raman threw Olan to the floor and Olan was hurt and gave up.

 

In the 71-75kg (middleweight category) Tun Min Aung won over Aung Khaing with unanimous decision.

 

In the 48-51 kg (flyweight category), Aung Tun Bo beat Heko Htoo with second round punches. In the 51-54kg (bantam weigh category) Dawna Kyaw won over Thar Thar via unanimous decision. In the 63.5-67kg (welterweight category), Dawna Thway clinched a win over Aung Moe Pyae via unanimous decision.

 

Next, Soe Moe Zaw won over Tun Lin Aung by judge decision in the challenging fight.

 

Similarly, Min Htet Aung produced series of powerful punches to beat Ye Thway Aung. In the 63.5-67 kg (welterweight category), Saw John won over Asian Dragon via unanimous decision.

 

In the 67-71 kg (light middleweight category), Thway Thit Maung defeated Saw Htoo Aung via unanimous decision.—Lin Yama/KZL
