Myothit, 5 August
A total of 5,960 acres of summer paddy cultivated in Myothit Township, Magway Region, have been successfully harvested, according to the Township Agriculture Department.
To support the cultivation, the Township Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department provided adequate irrigation water sourced from Natmauk Dam, Pulin Dam, Son Dam, and Saddan Dam. Farmers were also assisted in selecting high-quality and high-yield paddy seeds, adopting proper planting techniques, and implementing appropriate agricultural technologies.
This year, farmers in Myothit Township planted Aung Naing Toe, Yadanar Toe, and Sar Pho Tha paddy varieties. All cultivated acres have now been fully harvested, the department confirmed.— Win Ei-Zon (IPRD)
