A large quantity of narcotic drugs was seized in Kun Hein Township, Shan State, according to the Myanmar Police Force.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint anti-drug team stopped and searched two motorbikes at Takaw Village, Kun Hein Township, at around 4:30 a.m. on 17 July. The suspects, identified as Sai Si Hse and Sai Mon, were reportedly en route from Kali Village to Mongpyin.

During the search, authorities discovered 50 kilograms of methamphetamine, valued at approximately Ks 1.4 million per kilogram, totaling a street value of Ks 7 billion.

Both individuals have been charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.— MNA
