NSPNC holds peace talks with RCSS

National Solidarity and Peacemak­ing Negotiation Committee-NSPNC and representatives from the Resto­ration Council of Shan State (RCSS) engaged in a peace talk at the National Reconciliation and Peace Centre in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

 

The meeting was attended by Lt- Gen Min Naing, the secretary of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee and members and RCSS Secretary-1 Sao Sai Ngin, Central Executive Committee mem­bers Sao Saung Han and Sao Um Khe and Central Steering Committee mem­bers Sao Sai Han and Sao Sai Lyan.

 

In the meeting, agendas for discus­sion were set first before the secretary of the National Solidarity and Peace­making Negotiation Committee and the RCSS secretary-1 delivered their keynote speeches.

 

Arrangements to celebrate NCA’s 8th birthday profoundly, to cooperate in measures to conduct free and fair general elections in EAO-active areas, to collaborate in humanitarian aid pro­viding efforts in EAO-dominated areas, sections that deserve to be amended in 2008 Constitution and regional de­velopment were discussed.

 

Both parties also exchanged views on the requirements for the economy presented by RCSS.
