Officials from the Township Department of Rural Development conducted an inspection this morning to assess the completion of a concrete road project in Bo Le (Myit Na) Village, Aunglan Township, Magway Region.
During the visit, U Win Naing, District Head of the Department of Rural Development, along with departmental officials, met with village elders and members of the Village Development Committee. The group discussed the implementation of the road project and emphasized the importance of quality construction and regular maintenance.
The newly constructed concrete road measures 400 feet in length, 12 feet in width, and 6 inches in thickness. The project was carried out at a total cost of Ks.15 million, including a Ks.5 million contribution from local villagers and Ks.10 million in funding from the Department of Rural Development (DRD). Construction began in the third week of June and was carried out by local residents, with technical assistance and close supervision provided by DRD staff.
Now fully completed, the road benefits 887 residents from 192 households, significantly improving year-round travel and transportation for the local community.— Karam (DRD)
