Officials from the Township Department of Rural Development in Kyauktaga Township, Bago Region, inspected the completed gravel paving of a rural road in Sitbogyi Village, funded through the Village Emerald Green Project.

During the visit, Township Rural Development Department Head Daw Poe Ei Phyu Ko, project staff, and Village Development Committee members met with local residents. The Township Head emphasized the importance of maintaining the road sustainably and presented a certificate of development.

The road, measuring 1,960 feet long, 12 feet wide, and six inches thick, was constructed by villagers starting in the second week of May 2025. The project, which cost Ks 22 million, was completed under the technical guidance of the department.

The newly paved road will improve year-round travel for 487 residents from 138 households and support better access to health, social, and livelihood activities.—Maung Khaing
