Officials from the Township Department of Rural Development made a field trip to inspect the construction of rural road in Namhmok Village in Maiyang Township of eastern Shan State this morning.

With the aim of ensuring swift flow of commodity and saving time and money, a rural road has been constructed since the fourth week of June this year in Namhmok Village in Maiyang Township and now, 40 percent of the projects has been completed, according to an official from the Township Department of Rural Development.

During the inspection tour, officials from the Township DRD met with members of village development committee and urged them to meet the set standards.

The road measuring one mile in length, 12 ft. in width and nine inches in volume is being constructed by a tender winning company with K 19.0 million allocated by the state government.—Maung Khaing (DRD)
